Sora Mobari was a female Jedi Master of the Old Republic who served the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars. As the Jedi spread out across the galaxy leading clonetroopers against Separatist battle droids and Jedi were assigned to missions taking them into the heart of danger, one of those missions found Master Mobari leading an attack against Ithorian terrorists. Traditionally a peaceful species, these Ithorians warranted a swift response from the Jedi. Leading the attack alongside her apprentice, Master Mobari found herself betrayed by her student.

The explosion that was meant to claim Sora's life claimed the life of her Padawan instead, but not before leaving Master Mobari covered in burns and blind. Recovered, but barely alive, Master Mobari was sent to the Republic medical center on New Holstice. Unfortunately her vital functions continued to deteriorate as she slipped closer and closer to death. Even some of the Jedi Order's greatest healers, such as Barriss Offee, and great Jedi Masters, such as A'Sharad Hett, could not save her. All the Jedi could do was ease her passage into the Force.

In her final hours, she was accompanied by young Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. As Master Mobari's heart finally gave out, Anakin used the Force to massage her heart in hopes of saving her from death. The young Jedi had experienced too much death in his life and had become increasingly concerned with the ability to save people from dying. But even the Chosen One's effort was not enough to save the broken Jedi Master. Blind and in pain, Master Mobari was finally granted mercy and became one with the Force. Her memory was preserved in a New Holstice memorial to the Jedi where Sora Mobari's name took its place in the halls of her fallen brethren.
